Al anon borrows from lots of philosophies and gives folks a lot: Community, a way to live, activity. The view that she “should move on” reveals a rather simplistic and one dimension world view. Al anon is designed / intended to reduce the pain of those with an alcoholic loved one. I like that al anon does not rigidly prescribe you must leave or you must stay advice to the spouses.
